The City of Calgary is hosting their Canada Day celebrations at Fort Calgary on July 1, 2023.

The main stage evening show at Fort Calgary will include performances by Dear Rouge, William Prince and headliner act The Funk Hunters, with a musical set that includes on-stage special effects.

  • Walking tours starting every hour — Meet at the Fort Calgary Gazebo for a 45 minute (1.5 km) walking tour on Calgary pathways and trails and learn about our local flora and fauna and the natural history of the Bow River.

Teaching Tipis & Trappers Tent, 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.

The Teaching Tipis and Trappers Tent will be open to visitors, with six tipis featuring six topics for discussion and learning.

Topics include:

Residential Schools – 1:30 – 4:30 p.m.
Missing and Murdered Indigenous Woman Girls and 2-Spirit (MMIWG2S) – 1:30 – 4:30 p.m.
Language – 11:15 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Storytime – 11:15 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Metis Trapper Tent: 11:15 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
