Events Description
Cinema on 17th is back to transform Tomkins Park into Calgary’s outdoor movie theatre for a weekend of free movies under the stars.
As part of Calgary Culture Days, we’re proud to partner with B!G Art and Cirque de la Nuit to bring movie magic to life with immersive entertainment and live performances inspired by the big screen.
Bring a chair, grab your favourite people, and enjoy one of Calgary’s most unique outdoor movie experiences.
New for 2026, we’re thrilled to partner with the Calgary Underground Film Festival (CUFF) to bring a Saturday Morning Cartoon Package to Cinema on 17th.
From 9:00 AM–12:00 PM on Saturday, enjoy three hours of hand-picked animated shorts and cartoons on the big screen in Tomkins Park. It’s the perfect way for families, kids, and the young at heart to start a day at the movies.
