If you’re anything like us, as the weather gets cooler you‘re looking for ways to get out of the house, find inspiration and feel rejuvenated. Cue the return of Hygge Hut and Nordic Loop!
We are bringing cozy back to East Village Hygge Hut on RiverWalk. The Hygge Hut is a big warm East Village hug in the middle of a long, cold Calgary winter. Our contemporary, Scandinavian-style space is inspired by the Danish idea of Hygge, which means a special kind of well-being—it’s a cozy, easy togetherness enhanced by the glow of a firepit, soft lighting, a warm drink and good company. The snuggle vibe, in short.
Nordic Loop:
Calgary’s favourite 1km cross-country ski loop on The Confluence lands is back for the season, bringing winter fun to the heart of the city. Whether you’re a seasoned skier or just starting out, this urban ski trail is perfect for all skill levels. Grab your skis, bundle up, and enjoy the snowy vibes right here in East Village!

HYGGE HUT: Friday – Sunday.
Firepits will be lit and ready to welcome you until March 2025.
Friday | 2pm – 6pm
Saturday, Sunday & Holidays | 11am – 5pm
Nordic Loop: Winter Season, weather dependent | 7 AM to 10 PM
There are three walkable, bikeable and drivable entrance points to the loop.

From the Elbow River Traverse bridge which crosses the Elbow River and provides safe access to The Confluence from the neighbourhoods of Inglewood and Ramsay
