Flyover Park Grand Opening

Join us for the grand opening of Flyover Park with a family-friendly event featuring a formal program, live entertainment, a kids’ zone, food trucks and a vendors’ market highlighting local businesses!

Flyover Park is a community hub and gateway between the new Calgary Entertainment District and one of Calgary’s oldest neighbourhoods, Bridgeland-Riverside. This award-winning project has reclaimed the forgotten space under the 4th avenue overpass, creating a vibrant community hub where new Canadians, local residents and children can enjoy an active lifestyle and environmental learning year-round. Designed by Grade 6 students, in collaboration with University of Calgary Landscape Architecture Students, the design embraces the needs of the community through introduce innovative and sustainable design that can be replicated in other underutilized spaces in our city, and the province.
