Each year on the anniversary of the first powered flight in Canada, the Silver Dart on February 23, we celebrate the opportunities that aviation has provided to our society.
This event is aimed to entertain the entire family. We’re continuing our National Aviation Day celebrations with a full weekend of fun.
2026’s event features:
a free colouring book with every child admission
tour/presentation schedule coming soon
see the Silver Dart up close, it’s currently on the gallery floor instead of being up in the rafters, this gives a great vantage point for understanding this pivotal aircraft and its construction, it will be raised up to its usual home very soon following this event
complete a scavenger hunt! This features how early pilots were inspired by nature
