Events Description

Following the roaring success of How to Train Your Dragon in Concert in Calgary in 2025, How to Train Your Dragon 2 in Concert soars into the Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium on September 4 & 5 for two special screenings of the beloved DreamWorks film, scored by a full live orchestra.

Presented by Glatz Loft Concerts, the concert brings composer John Powell’s magical score to life as a full orchestra performs the iconic music live, note for note, perfectly in sync with the film. Audiences will experience a special version of the movie with the original score removed, while all dialogue and sound effects remain intact, putting the power of the live orchestra at the heart of the experience.

Winner of the Golden Globe Award for Best Animated Feature Film, How to Train Your Dragon 2 combines fire-breathing action, stirring emotion and epic adventure. The beloved sequel follows Hiccup, a young Viking, and his soulmate dragon, Toothless, as they find themselves in a battle to save the future of humans and dragons alike.

The original How to Train Your Dragon in Concert saw sold-out shows and added performance dates across Canada due to unprecedented demand. Now, the 2014 animated sequel returns to the big screen, giving longtime fans and a new generation the chance to experience the story in an entirely new way.
