Events Description

The Millarville Christmas Market, established in 1988 and one of the premier craft and artisan shows in Alberta.

Decorate your home with handmade, unique decorations, wreaths, stockings and ornaments or find one of a kind gifts from our many artists and crafts people, including jewelry, glass, paintings, stained glass, pottery, quilting, knitting, sewing, hats, mitts and scarves. Photographs, calendars and books are available directly from writers and photographers. You will also find beautiful woodworking and woodturning.

You’ll enjoy eight fabulous days of food trucks, music, reindeer viewing, and so many of your favourite seasonal vendors as well as loads of new ones!

Dress in layers to visit both the indoor and outdoor vendors.

The Kids Only Shoppe is open November 4 & 5 and 11 & 12 from 9 am to 4 pm. They are also now located in the Picnic Shelter at the south end of the facility by the concession.

This is a special place for children 5 – 12 years to select Christmas gifts, with shopping assistance from the elves, for their family members. All items are $15 or less, with 80% of the items being quality handcrafted locally or donated by local vendors of the Millarville Farmers’ Market.
Each gift is wrapped and tagged to keep the contents a secret until Christmas. Mrs. Claus and her elves look forward to welcoming the children back to the Shoppe every year.

Considering the summer was so busy, lines ups horrendous, Christmas here was no better, if not far worse, you would have thought that they could have arranged something better. The market was a total disappointment, hardly anything “Christmassy’ too much food and not enough Christmas crafts, Coffee? you can buy that anytime, Your better value is to stay in Calgary, and attend the local craft fairs, Millarville is ridiculous. Such a disappointment, My friend and I have been going for 8 years. No more.
