Events Description
The word “confluence” can refer not only to where two rivers meet, but also to the flowing together of ideas, places, and people.
Both the city of Calgary and southern Alberta have a rich history of people from different backgrounds and cultures that have called this area home. This one-hour walking tour takes you into the stories of six notable individuals whose experiences are often overlooked by history. Learn their remarkable stories that provide a look into Calgary and Canada during the 19th and 20th centuries and find out how Calgary’s modern identity was made by the flow and diversity of its people.
