Mandy LOVES the holidays. Come join her and the band as they celebrate the season, Music with Mandy style. That means lots of singing, dancing and playing!
All the proceeds from this event will go towards the recording of Mandy’s second album which is set to be released in Fall 2020.
About Us:
Music with Mandy began in August of 2017 when Mandy Morris combined her experience as an educator with her passion for performing jazz. She has performed throughout Western Canada at theatres, libraries, preschools and retirement facilities with highlight shows at the National Music Centre, JazzYYC, Hay Days Festival, Fernie’s Culture on the Lawn and Enkindle with JUNO nominated artist Ginalina. Mandy’s debut album, “On the Sunny Side of the Street”, was released conjunction with a colouring book. It has been praised by families and jazz fans alike. It was recently nominated for Jazz Recording of the Year at the YYC Music Awards. Mandy works hard to promote the arts in her community. In May 2019 she founded a brand new children’s festival in Calgary called Create Kids Fest which presented 15 performances over the course of three days at two venues featuring music, dance, theatre, storytelling and visual art. She is also the youngest member on the JazzYYC board of directors where she works to introduce jazz to a wider audience in Calgary.
