Bike with us downtown and back on this free guided Sunday ride!
This isn’t about going fast, it’s about enjoying the ride. Whether you are an occasional rider or an every-day commuter: you are invited. Please ask if you are unsure about your ability level.
Starting from Unity Park on International Avenue (by 3111B 17 Ave SE), we will be biking downtown and back, under 15 kms round-trip. Along the way, we will be sharing information about local history and transportation.
We will discuss sustainable transportation in Calgary and what YOU think. We may be joined by City of Calgary staff who will appreciate listening and learning from your thoughts and experiences.
Goals: Have fun, get exercise, and generate discussion about the future of transportation in east Calgary.
Other important notes:
Brought to you by the International Avenue BRZ. Please contact us if you do not have a bike.
End time is only an estimate. We will be riding mostly on quiet roads, pathways, and perhaps on-street bike lanes. Please ask if concerned about the route.
Social distancing will be enforced. A cap on the number of attendees may have to be set.
Who is it for?
Recommended age for children is 12 and up.
