Events Description
In March of 1969, MLA Clarence Copithorne was so dissatisfied with the burgers from the Legislature cafeteria that he tabled one in the Chamber in protest. That’s right, a preserved hamburger is part of the official record and it is turning 50 years old!
Join us for a slice of cake to celebrate this zany piece of Alberta history and enjoy a tour of the Legislature Building, complete with food-focused stories. Don’t forget to take a selfie with the famous celebrant!
Tours begin at 6:00 p.m. and space is limited so please register for this event through Eventbrite or by contacting Visitor Services at 780.427.7362 or visitorinfo@assembly.ab.ca.
