Events Description
The Edmonton Flute Association is proud to present Flute Day 2025 beginning at 9:00 AM on Saturday, November 15th 2025 at the Winspear Centre, with two hands-on workshops – one in the morning on DIY Flute Maintenance with Joe Piccolo, one in the afternoon on Baroque Ornamentation with Kathleen Schoen.
There will be a Master Class with Flute Competition runners up conducted by Liz Faulkner and Sarah Pollard, ESO flutists, plus Karen Shields.
The Top Notes Quartet, with Elizabeth Koch, Elizabeth Faulkner, Sarah Pollard, and Peter Dundjerski, will perform in the afternoon, followed by the finals of the EFA Flute Competition 2025, held for the first time for flute players 25 and under.
There will be a vendor hall for shopping and networking opportunities, and the day finishes with an opportunity for participants to play together in a massed flute choir under the direction of Petar Dundjerski, ending at 4:45 PM.
There will also be several performances throughout the day to enjoy during breaks.
Lunch is optional for $15, ordered with registration. Lunch is being provided by A Cappella Catering.
