Events Description
Help us celebrate the opening of our new early-child gallery, CuriousCITY on March 23, 2019.
Inspired by the city we call home, CuriousCITY will give our children (Ages 8 and under) a sense of place.
EXCITING GRAND OPENING PROGRAMMING:
Your children and you will get to experience exciting programming exclusively set up to celebrate our newest gallery, and the new opportunities for kids to explore and experience science through fun!
Children will be introduced to science concepts such as robotics, moon phases, and primary colours as we read aloud some of our favourite science storybooks. Each story is paired with a hands-on activity to help children make real-world connections and give them the opportunity to practice new science vocabulary.
Children will get hands on and be able to conduct their very own experiments, solve exciting challenges, and complete one-of-a-kind science crafts.
To celebrate the great city we call home children will be introduced to the specific science of our region. We’ll use binoculars to look for Alberta’s migratory song birds, make Edmontosaurus fossils, and learn how to build strong bridges across the North Saskatchewan.
