RBG recognizes the importance of connecting with nature during these times, however the safety of all guests, staff and volunteers remains a top priority, and as such access to each outdoor garden area will be provided through new policies and measures. Before visiting, please read the full re-opening announcement.
Special Activities in Hendrie Park:
- CARTOON BOB: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Don’t miss your opportunity to take home a truly unique souvenir with a donation to Green Angels. Cartoon Bob will be on-hand creating one-of-a-kind portraits! - ENTERTAINMENT: THE FITZGERALDS: 1 to 4 p.m.
A family group consisting of fiddling and step dancing siblings – Tom, Kerry and Julie Fitzgerald. This unique act features high-energy fiddling and mind-blowing step dancing. Stroll through the rose garden and enjoy live music throughout the afternoon!
NOTE: please do not gather around the performer; respect social distancing protocols and enjoy the music as your roam the garden. Seating will not be provided.
- DISCOVERY STATION: Discover Roses: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Visit our Garden Interpreter on Canada Day to delve into the spectrum of rose colours and why they smell so sweet. - Gardening Information: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The expert volunteers from the Gardening Information Desk will be set up in Hendrie Park to help with your toughest gardening questions!
The Rock Garden Café and Turner Pavilion Teahouse are open! Join us for lunch on the patio, or just grab a quick snack and drink to enjoy as you stroll the gardens. Both garden areas are fully licensed!
