Events Description
Meet us in the meadow to celebrate some of the most beautiful and beloved insects around- butterflies!
Learn about how to use a net to catch butterflies, carefully observe and identify them, and then let them return to the meadow with butterfly expert Dr. Nusha Keyghobadi and her students from Western University. Want to take take the fun home? Take the opportunity to make your very own native wildflower seed ball, which can help you attract butterflies into your backyard. While you’re here, check out our activity tents to play games, make crafts, and learn more about the butterflies of southern Ontario
Apparel: Please wear close-toed shoes, such as hiking shoes, hiking boots, rubber boots, and/or other sturdy and waterproof shoes. If possible, wear light-coloured clothing, bring a hat to protect against the sun, and tuck your pants into your socks.
