Amédée Forget Museum
Take a trip back in time to the early 1900s. Government House will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Canada Day so you are welcome to arrive in the morning or afternoon. Come on in and tour the museum.

Beautiful antiques are on display throughout. Restored to the period of Saskatchewan’s first Lieutenant Governor – Amédée Forget (1898-1910), the Government House Museum gives you a glimpse of life at the turn of the 20th century. Back then the Lieutenant Governor and his family actually lived in the house and regularly entertained guests. Check out the dining room prepared for an elaborate dinner party. See what a day was like when cellphones and computers didn’t exist!
