Events Description
Come celebrate the harvest season with us… You’ve either been here before and know how much fun this experience is or its your first time and you don’t know what to expect yet.
Fields officially open the weekend after Labour Day.
You’ll want to dress for the weather and expect to get a little dusty on your visit. Potatoes grow in sandy hills so unless we announce that the field is closed due to heavy rainfall, we’ll be here.
On your visit, you’ll check in and select your burlap bag(s) or basket(s) and then head onto the tractor wagon. We’ll pull you back to the field where you will be met by farmers in the field. Digging forks are supplied by us. We’ll give you a Potato Digging tutorial and then you’ll start uprooting those delicious, fresh, spuds! Yellow Potatoes, Red Skin Potatoes and Sweet Potatoes have been grown this year! Yellow & Red Potatoes may share the same sack, Sweet Potatoes must have their own package. Once you complete your dig, we’ll take you back to the entrance where you can find Merchandise and Baked Goods. Our Maple Pecan Sweet Potato Pies & Sweet Potato Brownies have become kinda famous – Crave Doughnuts in Whitby also use our Sweet Potatoes in their Sweet Potato Fritters!
