Opening weekend highlights
Taking place Friday, September 18 to Sunday, September 20, Mulock Park will come alive during its grand opening weekend with a vibrant lineup celebrating community, creativity, and connection. Enjoy live performances, explore visual arts and local history, participate in dance and art workshops, and experience activities like roller skating, kite flying, and more.
Following the grand opening, programming will continue throughout the year with events and activities such as a fall harvest festival, roller skating, ice skating, arts workshops, fitness classes and more.
Art Gallery of Ontario in our own backyard
Through a unique partnership between the Town and the Art Gallery of Ontario, you will have free access to curated exhibitions in your own backyard. The 2,000-square-foot gallery space on the second floor of the restored Mulock House features works from the AGO’s collections of Indigenous and Canadian art.
Mulock House will also feature many restored areas, including a library lounge in Sir William Mulock’s former study, and a few hidden gems to be discovered! The first floor will host the Chickadee Café, independently operated by A Million Mouthfuls Catering, a local Newmarket business.

- Art inspired by the Mulock Property in the Artist Studio
- Wellness activities on the West Lawn

Take a free shuttle from Ray Twinney Recreation Complex – Main Entrance (100 Eagle Street West) or Magna Centre – East Entrance (800 Mulock Drive) to get to the event! Every shuttle passenger will receive one complimentary Town of Newmarket recreation single drop in pass, plus an entry into a draw for prizes, including tickets to Art Gallery of Ontario, Mirvish Productions and LEGOLAND® Discovery Centre Toronto!
Visitors can also park at the Ray Twinney Recreation Complex and enjoy a 10-minute walk along the multi-use trail to the park.

Final Shuttles – Please note, final bus going to Mulock Park leaves at 8:30 p.m. Final bus departing from Mulock Park to Magna Centre and Ray Twinney Recreation Complex leaves the park at 10 p.m.
Residents are asked to please avoid parking on surrounding residential streets. Parking enforcement staff will actively monitor local streets for illegal parking.
Accessible Parking is available at the Yonge Street Parking Lot (16830 Yonge Street), just north of the park.
General Parking is also available at the Yonge Street Parking Lot (16830 Yonge Street) however, we expect it will fill up fast and encourage guests to walk, bike or take a shuttle to the festivities.
