Events Description

Come and experience the beautiful sight of Scarborough Museum’s rustic Victorian buildings against a backdrop of a park in full bloom! Every weekend in June enjoy lemonade and lemon or strawberry baked goods, play board games and giant outdoor games, participate in an animal scavenger hunt, and make animal-themed crafts.

Summer Solstice
Celebrate the summer solstice with Scarborough Museum. There will be an unveiling of a painting created by Indigenous faith keeper Catherine Tammaro. In addition, we will celebrate the creation of a new Indigenous garden, and focus on all things strawberry including strawberry-topped cornbread and a strawberry drink.

Canadian Taste Buds: June 29 & 30
This weekend at Scarborough Museum is devoted to enjoying and celebrating Indigenous food, with diverse recipes being used to create a menu of Indigenous treats. Come and try lemon biscuits and lemonade, and an Indigenous strawberry recipe while playing games and indulging in an animal-themed scavenger hunt.

Scarborough Museum is set along the walking trails of beautiful Thomson Memorial Park, once the farm fields of Scarborough’s first settlers and now a popular heritage community. The museum shows the history and development of Scarborough from its founding and early settlement to its growth and emergence as a major suburb in the 20th century. The site and its gardens are situated on property first granted to David and Mary Thomson, who settled in Scarborough in the late 1790s.
