The last several Festivals have been programmed thematically, focusing on a different place or period in music history and has featured top level international guest artists at Koerner Hall, Walter Hall, and other venues around Toronto with over 50 public events over the course of 4 weeks.
The 2020 season marks TSM’s 15th anniversary and includes a star-studded Opening Night hosted by CBC’s Tom Allen; a thrilling art song recital from Benjamin Appl and Wolfram Rieger; an exquisite marriage of music and dance from Echo Chamber Toronto; the internationally-renowned Danish String Quartet; superstar pianist Charles Richard-Hamelin playing the Emperor Concerto; a special collaboration with Tapestry Opera to present Iron Road in concert; a 3-part concert series of the complete set of Beethoven’s Violin Sonatas, and a world premiere by celebrated Canadian composer

TSM Kids Concerts – Presented Thursdays at 11 AM in Walter Hall, these engaging onehour concerts are specially designed for children ages 5-12.
SHUFFLE Hour – One-hour casual concerts featuring Festival artists and next-generation
stars presented at 5 PM Tuesday-Thursday in Heliconian Hall. Thursdays feature
emerging young talents from the Phil and Eli Taylor Performance Academy for Young
TSM Connect – Daytime events that provide opportunities to connect with TSM
musicians, learn about the Festival theme and gain insights into the world of classical
Academy Noon Concerts – Popular lunchtime concerts running Wednesday-Friday at
Heliconian Hall showcasing gifted young performers from the Toronto Summer Music
Xenia@TSM –On Saturday, July 27 at 1 PM we welcome families and individuals to an
accessible and inclusive one-hour concert presentation in the RCM’s Temerty Theatre.
