About GTA Photography Classes, Toronto, Canada

GTA Photography Classes is a one of a kind boutique photography school located in downtown Toronto offering a variety of classes and photo tours for all skill levels, ranging from beginner to more advanced.

GTA Photography Classes’ Photo Tours will not only take you to some of Toronto’s most vibrant and exciting locations, they’ll also ensure that your photos show the true beauty of this city.

Experienced photographers take each small group on a walk through various parts of the city – Old Toronto, Kensington Market, Yorkville and Queen Street West – and teach students compositional guidelines and offer valuable feedback.

 

What to do at GTA Photography Classes?

GTA Photography Classes will show you a new way to look at the city – whether you’re visiting or a resident!

Our walking Photo Tours of Toronto will give you the right tools and angles to capture magnificent photographs of some of the oldest and newest parts of the city. Join us for 2 hour tours of these parts of the city:

-Kensington Market
-Old Toronto (St. Lawrence Market, St. James Cathedral, Flatiron Building)
-Yorkville (shoppes, ROM, Gardiner Museum)

The Queen Street Photo Tour + will bring your photos to a new level of creativity and accuracy. Learn how to use your camera in manual mode to ensure that your photos of the city capture its’ true essence. Held in a trendy downtown space, the first portion of this 4 hour tour will teach you the key principles of using your camera in manual mode, followed by a walking tour of Toronto’s hip Queen St. West.

We’ve taught students from ages 9 to 70+. All ages are welcome!

GTA Photography Classes Hours

Toronto Photo Tours are held round the year – multiple dates and times.

Classes & Workshops: Variable – see schedule.
Summer camps and march break camps are held for children of age 9 and higher.

How much for GTA Photography Classes?

Photo Tours are now only $45+HST (summer sale). Regular: $60+HST.

Classes: $90.00 – 250.00.

Types of payment accepted:

Mastercard, Visa, Interac, Cash including US dollar.
All payments are made on our website or over the phone prior to the commencement of the class/tour/workshop.

All Photo Tours, Classes and Workshop require registration prior to the start time.

How to get to GTA Photography Classes?

Locations vary by Photo Tour. Exact location is given in your booking confirmation.

Classes & Workshops take place at Toronto downtown location: 51 Wolseley St., Toronto, ON, M5T 1A4
BY TTC:
Closest subway station is Osgoode Station.
Take the 501 streetcar west to Denison Ave. Walk one block west to Ryerson Ave., turn right and the first building on your left at the corner at Wolseley is your destination.

Alternatively, for those coming from the west end, Bathurst Station.
Take the 511 streetcar south to Queen Street. Walk one block east to Ryerson Ave., turn left and the first building on your left at the corner at Wolseley is your destination.

Parking:

Free street parking on Wolseley St. and Carr St.
Meter parking on Queen St.
Green P parking at Wolseley and Denison Ave.

What about Amenities & Accessibility at GTA Photography Classes?

Photo Tours and some classes include 2 hours of walking at a medium-pace, stopping for demos and photo opportunities.

Most of our routes are wheelchair accessible. For more information call us at 416-546-9089.

Photo Tours & Classes run rain or shine, so please dress accordingly.

Things to Bring:
– DSLR / film SLR / point & shoot camera & lens*
– Charged Batteries
– Small tripod if you have one but not mandatory
– Dress accordingly for the weather (raincoat, umbrella, etc)
– Plastic bag (in case of rain)

*Participants must bring their own camera or rent a loaner camera.
