About Hockey Hall of Fame, Toronto, Ontario, Canada

The Hockey Hall of Fame was founded in 1943 to establish a memorial to those who have developed Canada’s great winter sport — ice hockey. It officially opened its doors at the Canadian National Exhibition in Toronto in 1961 and relocated to its present location at the corner of Yonge and Front Streets in 1993.

An annual induction ceremony takes place each November to honour outstanding contributors to the game.
