Celebrate the Night (Fireworks)

Join us for the annual Celebrate the Night Festival & Fireworks! This free family-friendly festival will transform Memorial Peace Park into a wonderland of lights, artwork, storytelling, Halloween pumpkins, crafts, games, food trucks and a popular fireworks finale.

This free event features family-friendly activities including:

A Halloween costume contest
Food trucks
Roving entertainment
Carousel ride (southwest section of the park)

Fireworks:
The event wraps up with a crowd countdown and fireworks display off the roof of the ACT Arts Centre on the east side of Memorial Peace Park. The fireworks display will happen at 8:00 PM (dependant on local fire restrictions). The music for the fireworks display will be broadcast on a local radio transmitter at 89.3 on the FM dial.

Paid Parking

Limited parking is available in the underground lot, and surface lot behind the ACT Arts Centre. The underground parking lot can be accessed from either the Dewdney Trunk Road or Edge Street entrances, access to Memorial Peace Park from 224th will be blocked for the duration of the event. Limited parking can be found on streets surrounding the event site.
