Events Description

Grouse Mountain is celebrating its 100th anniversary with our biggest event of the year: the Grouse Mountain Centennial Festival, presented by CIBC.

Join us at The Peak of Vancouver for a week of unforgettable experiences, including spectacular drone shows, live music, food trucks, family-friendly activities, limited-time adventure offers, and special events that celebrate a century of remarkable memories, breathtaking views, and mountain adventures.

  • A Century of Stories Drone Shows: Experience an unforgettable night time cinematic drone show as hundreds of illuminated drones light up the sky above the Birds in Motion area. Featuring cinematic music, Indigenous drumming, and storytelling narrated by Squamish Nation member and Cultural Educator William Nahanee, this breathtaking performance celebrates the history of Grouse Mountain, the surrounding region, and the people who have shaped it over the past century.
  • Friday Night Après Bike: Presented by Granville Island Brewing features live music, free beer samples, BBQ, and the chance to win a brand-new mountain bike. Buy a Granville Island Lager to enter the draw, with $1 from every lager sold supporting the North Shore Mountain Bike Association. Bike Park season passholders also receive 20% off food
  • Coors Light Presents: Music Loud, Mountains Blue: These concerts are the perfect way to spend a summer evening at The Peak of Vancouver. Enjoy two unforgettable evenings of live music in the Plaza featuring Nearly Neil, Canada’s premier Neil Diamond tribute band (July 31st), and Nautical Disaster, one of Canada’s top Tragically Hip tribute bands (August 1st)
  • Yoga on the Mountain: Start your weekend with a complimentary 1-hour outdoor yoga class every Saturday from 9:00–10:00 am on the Mountaintop Plaza. Hike the Grouse Grind or ride the Blue Grouse Gondola or Skyride to join us, yoga mats provided. Registration is free but required, opening each Wednesday for that Saturday’s class.
  • Bear-thday Fun-draiser: Help us celebrate a very special birthday as our resident grizzly bears, Grinder and Coola, turn 25! Watch them enjoy their annual birthday cake, learn more about grizzly bear conservation from our Wildlife Rangers, and help support the Grizzly Bear Foundation. It’s one of our most popular family events of the summer!
  • Mingler Wednesdays: Mingler Wednesdays at Altitudes Bistro feature Granville Island Brewing beer tastings, a live DJ, mountain views, and the chance to win a stand-up paddleboard. Buy a Granville Island beer to enter the draw.
  • Movies on the Mountain: Bring a blanket, gather your family and friends, and enjoy movies under the stars in our newly rebuilt Birds in Motion area. Whether you’re planning a family outing or a unique date night, Movies on the Mountain is the perfect way to spend a summer evening. The series kicks off with Jurassic Park on Thursday, July 30!
