Events Description

The Whistler Children’s Festival is the Arts Whistler’s longest-running program and a signature annual event. Each summer, the heart of Whistler Village is transformed as tents, balloons, stages, and circus acts populate the Great Lawn at Whistler Olympic Plaza for the annual Whistler Children’s Festival. There’s fun for the whole family in this action-packed weekend of creativity. With dozens of workshops, live musical performances, and a host of activities, kids and adults alike can let their imaginations run wild! Come play with us!

2026

Fuelled by adventure, creativity, and giggles, Whistler’s longest-running festival – the Whistler Children’s Festival – is back for its 43rd year! The Whistler Children’s Festival promises adventure around every corner, featuring roving street performers, magic shows, science workshops and internationally acclaimed children’s performers. Over the Victoria Day Long Weekend, the Maury Young Arts Centre comes alive with 8 showstopping theatre performances and 13 hands-on creative workshops.

Highlights include Yuki the Juggler, an award-winning Japanese Canadian circus performer, and Orbax and Pepper bringing their own unique blend of weird, mad science all the way from Toronto. Plus, enjoy free activities every day of the festival, from roving street entertainment to Kids Karaoke and Stories on Wheels. New this year, the Bratz Biz Youth Market takes over Whistler Olympic Plaza, featuring one-of-a-kind crafts made by young local entrepreneurs.

Kick off the fun on Friday, May 15, from 4–6 PM at the Whistler Children’s Festival Street Party! Join us at the festival’s central hub, the Maury Young Arts Centre, for a sidewalk chalk extravaganza, music, bubbles, and all the latest festival details. Then, get cozy at our Pyjama & Popcorn Movie Night. We’ll bring the popcorn, you bring the pyjamas for a cozy family screening of Zootopia 2!
