Per the news release, Grégoire Trudeau shares insights from her life, from her childhood to her roles as a television host, “first lady,” and mother. Additionally, the book includes perspectives from professionals such as Gabor Maté and Liz Plank, exploring scientific aspects of emotional and brain health.

Throughout “Closer Together,” Grégoire Trudeau offers narratives from her experiences, from battling an eating disorder in her teen years to navigating through various life roles, poses fundamental questions about individual and collective growth and interpersonal relationships. How our upbringing shapes our self-perception, managing emotions, understanding and contributing to our relationships, the mental health impacts of physical and creative activities, and the process of embracing what nourishes us while relinquishing what doesn’t are among the topics explored.

In 2025, Tundra Book Group, the children’s publishing division of Penguin Random House Canada, will release a children’s picture book by Grégoire Trudeau, intertwining her advocacy for mental health with her affection for nature. The intent behind the book is to foster a connection in children towards nature while simultaneously facilitating a connection with their own emotions.
