2. Disney’s The Lion King – Musical

Giraffes strut, birds swoop, gazelles leap. The entire savannah comes to life and as the music soars, Pride Rock slowly emerges from the mist. Marvel at the breathtaking spectacle of animals brought to life by a cast of more than 40 actors. Wonder at the inspiration of award-winning director Julie Taymor, who created visual images for this show that you’ll remember forever. Details

3. Leduc West Antique Annual Exposition

The weekend is packed with fun activities for all ages, beginning with a pancake breakfast at 7:30 a.m. each morning, tractor pulls, antique parade, petting zoo, sawmill, rope-making, threshing, wire-tie baler,1940’s diorama, free Jigger Train rides, petting zoo, great food and plenty of interesting items for sale from a variety of vendors. The main event of the weekend is known as Old Iron – displays of vintage farm equipment, antique tractors, old cars and trucks, working scale models of various vehicles and demonstrations of threshing, plowing, wood cutting and planing. Plus, members of the Northern Alberta Blacksmith Guild will be hard at work in their replica shop, using authentic tools to create pieces for the park.  Details

4. Edmonton Power Historical Foundation Museum

Visit Edmonton Power Historical Foundation Museum and explore artifacts relating to history of electric power in the City of Edmonton and the Province of Alberta.

5. Family Nature Nights

Join Nature Kids along with Root for Trees for a forest fable adventure! There will be activities, crafts and tree planting.

Join us for Sunny Summer Fair- Rutherford House presents a day of fun for everyone! In the spirit of an old-fashioned summer fair, try your hand at a variety of classic carnival games and activities. Play with old-fashioned toys, make a historic craft and enjoy an afternoon of musical entertainment. 10. RMHCNA Block Party

The annual RMHCNA Block Party is a celebration of our community friends and partners who support us throughout the year. There will beeatures games, activities, live entertainment, food and community partners, such as the Edmonton Fire Rescue Services and Edmonton Police Services, will be present. Along with contests, a 50/50 draw, door prizes and a scavenger hunt, Block Party is sure to be a great time for all.

Led by the fearless and funny front-woman Derina Harvey, this five-piece Celtic-rock group mixes a fresh take on traditional tunes with their own original jigs & reelsA natural raconteur, Braden Gates uses guitar and fiddle to relay his stories.
