Rodeo Week Chili Cook -off

Rodeo Week will get off to a tasty start when a number of local restaurants will take over Churchill Square for a culinary competition like no other at the 25th Annual Chili Cook Off. The heat is on, so fire up your taste buds an mosey on down to the Square to get some grub! Details

The Rodeo Kids Korral

Bring the whole family out and enjoy a day of rodeo fun packed with barrel racing, calf roping, wagon rides and a petting zoo! You can also meet the Miss Rodeo Canada pageant contestants as they showcase their skills in front of the young and old. It’s not a rodeo party without a pancake breakfast, so come hungry. Proceeds will go to Uncles and Aunts at Large. Details

Wild Wagons Showdown
The never before seen event is the latest family friendly spectacle of Rodeo Week. All ages are invited to cheer on the teams as the one-rider wagons make a 100 m dash to 1920s street in Fort Edmonton Park. There will also be live country music performers, lasso school, face painting, a craft corner, horse drawn wagon rides, food and much more. Details

2. Sing-a-Long-a Sound of Music

Warm up those vocal chords to sing and yodel to your heart’s content at one of the craziest, most outrageous theatre experiences ever. Celebrating the 50th anniversary of the iconic movie The Sound of Music, the classic smash hit ‘Sing-a-Long-a’ musical will be screened in its complete and unedited magnificence to the delight of Julie Andrews fans everywhere. With the bed as the very centre of this piece, Montreal dance troupe Bouge de làExternal explores different slices of childhood from infancy to adolescence.
