3. 2CELLOS
Young Croatian cellists Luka Sulic and Stjepan Hauser, together known as 2CELLOS, have achieved sensational success by taking the cello to a new level. Their playing style has broken down the boundaries between different genres of music, from classical and film music to pop and rock. Details

6. The Year of the Monkey
For its third annual Chinese New Year Celebration, the TSO presents a festive concert celebrating The Year of the Monkey. Long Yu, Artistic Director of the China Philharmonic Orchestra and Music Director of the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra, leads a scintillating program that blends traditional Chinese and classical western styles, featuring spellbinding performances by superstar violinist Maxim Vengerov and Peking Opera soloist Wang Yi. Enjoy Chinese lion dance live in the lobby at intermission!
7. Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra
The internationally acclaimed Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra performs its Canadian debut at Roy Thomson Hall under the celebrated baton of Tang Muhai, whose international career began with an invitation to conduct the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra during the 1983-1984 season.

1. NBA All Star Weekend
NBA All-Star is coming to Toronto in February 2016, providing fans around the world with a first-class entertainment experience highlighted by a series of exciting events and competitions showcasing the NBA’s brightest stars including the 65th NBA All-Star Game. NBA All-Star competitions will get underway on Friday, Feb. 12, as the league’s top rookies and second-year players square off in a USA versus the World format for the BBVA Compass Rising Stars Challenge. The following day’s festivities include State Farm All-Star Saturday Night, which features the Taco Bell Skills Challenge, the Foot Locker Three-Point Contest, and the high-flying Verizon Slam Dunk contest. Sunday culminates with the 65th NBA All-Star Game.
