The 14th Annnual Winterfolk Blues and Roots Festival. More than 150 artists will be performing at 5 venues over 3 days. 3. 2CELLOS
Young Croatian cellists Luka Sulic and Stjepan Hauser, together known as 2CELLOS, have achieved sensational success by taking the cello to a new level. Their playing style has broken down the boundaries between different genres of music, from classical and film music to pop and rock. Details

6. The Year of the Monkey
For its third annual Chinese New Year Celebration, the TSO presents a festive concert celebrating The Year of the Monkey. Long Yu, Artistic Director of the China Philharmonic Orchestra and Music Director of the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra, leads a scintillating program that blends traditional Chinese and classical western styles, featuring spellbinding performances by superstar violinist Maxim Vengerov and Peking Opera soloist Wang Yi. Enjoy Chinese lion dance live in the lobby at intermission!
7. Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra
The internationally acclaimed Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra performs its Canadian debut at Roy Thomson Hall under the celebrated baton of Tang Muhai, whose international career began with an invitation to conduct the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra during the 1983-1984 season.

2. Toronto Black Film Festival
Cool, international, independent, politically incorrect and eye-opening, the Toronto Black Film Festival (TBFF) is about discovery. TBFF will showcase the most outstanding and most powerful Black films while creating a space to debate major cultural, social and socio-economic issues.
3. Shaquille O’Neal’s All Star Comedy Jam
For the first time The ALL STAR COMEDY JAM tour will be presented outside of the United States at the Sony Centre for the The Performing Arts during the NBA All Star Weekend. The line-up will be hosted by Earthquake, Michael Blackson, Tony Roberts, known as “The Comedians Comedian,” and guest star on ABC’s new comedy “Uncle Buck” LaVar Walker, fresh off his run on NBC’s “Last Comic Standing” as well as Bill Bellamy, comedy legend and star of BET’s “Mr. Box Office”. 4. The Next Wave – Film Festival
The TIFF Next Wave Film Festival, programmed for youth aged 14–18, brings the best in film from around the globe, along with an exciting slate of special guests, interactive workshops and a 24-Hour Film Challenge for young filmmakers!
5. The Vagina Monologues
A benefit performance to end violence against women and to support Sistering: a women’s place, supporting women in extraordinary circumstances. Sistering operates a multi-service women’s center for homeless, at risk and socially isolated women in Toronto. The Obie Award winning Vagina Monologues celebrates women, their bodies and their experiences. Laugh, weep, cheer, and learn from this gathering of women’s voices. Details

1. NBA All Star Weekend
NBA All-Star is coming to Toronto in February 2016, providing fans around the world with a first-class entertainment experience highlighted by a series of exciting events and competitions showcasing the NBA’s brightest stars including the 65th NBA All-Star Game. NBA All-Star competitions will get underway on Friday, Feb. 12, as the league’s top rookies and second-year players square off in a USA versus the World format for the BBVA Compass Rising Stars Challenge. The following day’s festivities include State Farm All-Star Saturday Night, which features the Taco Bell Skills Challenge, the Foot Locker Three-Point Contest, and the high-flying Verizon Slam Dunk contest. Sunday culminates with the 65th NBA All-Star Game.

NBA Centre Court will be the best way for fans to get the real NBA All-Star experience. With over 40 courts and baskets at the Enercare Centre, fans will be able to play and compete against their friends in skills challenges, purchase NBA All-Star merchandise, collect autographs from NBA and WNBA players and legends, and more!

The Toronto Sears Great Canadian Chill is an urban polar bear dip where teams and individuals rush Yonge-Dundas Square to jump into a custom built chill-pool on Family Day. The Chill is an opportunity to display courage and test your will power. All funds raised from The Chill are donated to the Sears Canada Charitable Foundation, which will allocate the funds to local and national pediatric oncology initiatives. The Toronto Chill is in support of The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids). Details
