Grande Grouille D’Automne is a wonderful fall festival held during the first weekend of October. Grande Grouille has been held annually for over ten years and this year they have a unique theme.
The fabulous garden is enhanced with pretty colourful lights, stunning scenery and creative decor designed especially for this one-of-a-kind fall celebration.
This is a fun, themed event and this years’ theme is all about opening the door to your imagination. The decor this year will features characters from tales, fables, films or cartoon or even imagination. Find characters from Frozen, Hansel & Gretel, Cars, Star Wars, and more.

There will be new animated decor present throughout the venue. Some of these decor will be animated by the JAM Troupe. The big wheel is back this year and will cost $2 for ages 5 and older.
Any fall celebration would be incomplete without pumpkins. There are thousands of wonderful carved and decorated pumpkins on display in the garden. At night these pumpkins are illuminated by candles transforming the garden into something magical.

You can also enjoy live musical entertainment throughout the festival from Thursday to Sunday. Every single day extremely talented artists will be performing near the carving workshop and in the Gazebo.
The Cafe Flora’s has designed a special Grande Grouille menu that includes delicious meals and yummy snacks, including the cafe’s famous “whoopie pie”. They also serve a variety of drinks including hot chocolate, beer, wine and apple cider. You can also visit the local brewery and try the famous hot gin cocktail. This menu will only be available from September 29th to October 2nd.

I was disappointed. We saw the Grande Grouille advised in the Telegraph Journal and decided to go. We left Sussex, NB early morning and also booked a room near Grande Grouille. There was not much to see, the signs were all in French and the guy directing traffic did not speak any English either. The entertainment was French. Just wondering why invite people to come in an english newspaper if it is intended for only French speaking people..
