Health Canada, alongside the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and Electrolux Group, has issued a recall for certain Frigidaire gas ranges due to a burn hazard linked to the oven.

The issue centres on the delayed ignition of the bake burner, something that can happen unexpectedly and increase the risk of burns.
The recall covers multiple models under the Frigidaire, Frigidaire Gallery and Frigidaire Professional lines, including units with serial numbers ranging from VF52200000 to VF54399999. These ranges were sold between June 2025 and January 2026 with model numbers: FCFG3062AS, FCFG3062AW, FCFG3083AS, FCRG3052BS, FCRG3052BW, FCRG3062AS, FCRG3062AW, FCRG3083AD, FCRG3083AS, GCFG3059BF, GCFG3060BD, GCFG3060BF, GCFG3070BF, GCRG3060BD, GCRG3060BF, PCFG3080AF.
In Canada, about 5,318 units are affected. In the United States, the number climbs to roughly 174,800. So far, there have been three reported incidents in Canada, including one injury. South of the border, reports are higher, 59 incidents and 30 injuries.
Consumers are being asked to stop using the oven function immediately, but can continue using the cooktop. Electrolux is offering a free in-home repair that includes installing a new bake burner.
The company can be reached at 1-866-291-7629 or by email at gasovenburnerrecall@electrolux.com.
Health Canada also reminds consumers that recalled products cannot be resold or redistributed, and any safety incidents should be reported through its consumer incident system.
