There are many lavender farms in Ontario that you can visit, but not many offer the public the option to pick lavender to create their own lavender bouquets.
Hereward Farms
Hereward Farms located in Dufferin County is a family-owned lavender farm that offers picking your own lavender and wonderful lavender-infused skin care products from their farm.
One of the newest Ontario lavender farms, this is Hereward Farm’s first season opening to the public.
You can pick lavender at the farms in July and August. The exact dates are weather-dependent, but lavender typically blooms from Late June to Early August depending on the variety.
The cost of picking your own bouquet is $5 per bunch.

If you are looking for a date night or evening out with friends, then you can join for their Nibbles + Sips Picnic in the lavender field events, when you can enjoy a traditional charcuterie box and wine in the heart of beautiful lavender fields. You can choose from a colourful evening sunset picnic or a daytime option.
If you want to combine guided painting, sangria and picnic, then get tickets for Pick Your Own Lavender + Paint Outside.
Celebrate lavender by visiting the fields during the free lavender festival. You can help raise much-needed funds for the Alzheimers Society of Dufferin County. The festival features local artisans, food, entertainment, and vintage cars.
While on your visit to the farm you can also check out their boutique. All their products are from “farm to skin” and are created at their farm in East Garafraxa. Everything is created in small batches using all-natural oils. Hereward Farms says they do not use any water, fillers or aloe in their products so that they can deliver high-quality skin care products. Even the lavender crops have been grown without the use of any chemicals.

They have bath products like bath bombs, scrubs, and soaps. Body products include lotions, oils, candles, face serums, toners, and lip balms. They also sell beard oils, massage oils, soaps, and lip balms for men. You can buy mugs, gifts bundles, home products and, lavender cookies as well. All these luxurious items are cruelty-free.
