The winter weather is no reason to shy away from time outside in Edmonton. As a winter city with dozens of fun activities, festivals, or types of recreation to enjoy outside, Edmonton is also home to a few places that were built for outdoor dining.

This winter, you’ll be able to find patios in Edmonton that are either fully winterized with heat and shelter or that feature heated and clear domes. These winter patios and each restaurant or bar also offer a wide variety of cuisine and food types among them, with some outdoor patios also attached to Edmonton’s local breweries.

Café Bloom – Muttart Conservatory
There is now yet another way to enjoy and make the most of a visit to one of Edmonton’s top attractions: the Muttart Conservatory. The Muttart’s Café Bloom now offer winter patio dining courtesy of their heated outdoor domes. The Café Bloom Dome Dining experiences are available for brunch or dinner of 4-6 people. The cost of a dome dinner includes a bottle of wine for the table, admission for all to the Conservatory, and a five-course meal.

Sea Change Brewing Co.
One of Edmonton’s favourite local brewers now have outdoor seating to host winter get-togethers and drinks with friends over the holidays. Sea Change Brewing Co., with two taprooms in Edmonton, have a fully winterized patio at their OG location on Happy Beer Street. On top of their delicious brews, Sea Change’s OG taproom also has a menu of pub fare, light snacks, and different varieties of banh mi.

Little Brick Café & General Store
Relax in Little Brick’s cozy and picturesque setup in the east downtown neighbourhood of Riverdale. The café is best known for delicious coffee and hot drinks, and these make great companions to an outdoor gathering. But remember to bring your appetite, as their sandwiches, brunch spreads, and sweets are dishes you won’t want to pass up. The Little Brick’s outdoor patio is relatively small, but also the perfect size for warming up with a hot drink or enjoying a snack.

The winterized patio at Odd Company Brewing in Edmonton’s Ritchie neighbourhood is now open for the season! Grab a cozy place to sit, socialize, and enjoy the après vibes. To help celebrate the opening of the outdoor winter patio, Odd Company have a couple of festive cocktails on the menu including an Odd Nogg, and their Hot-Toddy Bergamot. On top of all of these delicious beers and cocktails, Odd Company Brewing also offer a full food menu at the Ritchie taproom.

Tiramisu Bistro

Culina on the Lake
Hawrelak Park is a popular winter destination for skating, cross-country skiing, and fat-biking. Winters at the Park are also now a lot more enjoyable thanks to the food, coffee, and drinks from Culina. This smaller café offers all the breakfast and lunch essentials to fuel your activities, and gives you all of Hawrelak Park as your winter patio. But closer to the café you will find a few propane firepits.
