IKEA Canada is expanding its accessibility to affordable home furnishing solutions by introducing three new Plan and Order points in 2024.

CNW Group/IKEA Canada Limited Partnership
The new locations are set to open in London, Ontario, and Lachenaie, Quebec, with an additional point to follow in Barrie, Ontario. These points are designed to facilitate customers in planning and ordering complex home furnishing projects for various living spaces, including kitchens and bedrooms, with the assistance of IKEA experts.
The London Plan and Order point will begin operations on March 6 at the Wonderland Power Centre, located at 3120 Wonderland Road South. Following this, the Lachenaie location will open its doors on March 20 at 552 Montée des Pionniers in the Galeries de Lanaudière shopping centre.
A subsequent opening in Barrie is scheduled for the summer of 2024, at the SmartCentres Barrie South shopping centre, expanding IKEA’s Plan and Order network to eight locations across Canada.
While products won’t be available for immediate takeaway, Ikea says customers can schedule personalized appointments to explore a curated selection of IKEA solutions. After placing orders, customers can have items delivered directly to their homes or a local Pick-up point.
This initiative comes in response to findings from the IKEA Life at Home report, indicating a significant interest among Canadians in moving or renovating their homes within the next two years. IKEA aims to support these endeavours by offering planning and ordering services that simplify the process of enhancing home spaces.
In addition to expanding service points, IKEA Canada has announced an $80 million investment to reduce prices on over a thousand products throughout 2024, including popular items like the BILLY Bookcase and EKET storage solutions, as part of its commitment to offer functional, high-quality, and affordable home furnishing options amidst the rising cost-of-living.
