Nestled in the heart of southern Ontario, the expansive Kelso Lavender Farm, comprising over 25,000 plants, presents a breathtaking and vibrant escape.

Kelso Lavender Farm
With its proximity to Toronto and its location by the Niagara Escarpment, this farm serves as an ideal destination for those seeking a nature-infused getaway.
Kelso Lavender Farm grows five distinct types of lavender spread over rolling hills, including four English variants, foliate, royal velvet, super blue, and melissa, and one French variant, phenomenal. Each variant showcases a unique purple hue, making the farm a picturesque paradise perfect for photography enthusiasts and nature lovers alike.
What to do:

Kelso Lavender Farm
Lose yourselves amidst the swaths of vibrant lavender fields and enjoy picnics at the designated spots. Savour the delectable lavender-infused ice cream, explore the farm store brimming with lavender-themed items, and don’t forget to capture Instagram-worthy shots with delightful props like a rustic wagon and a larger-than-life Muskoka chair.
There are opportunities for professional photography, too. The farm also offers u-pick opportunities, allowing you to pick your own bouquet.
When to go and how to plan:

The farm is open until early August, with the lavender bloom peaking during July. The diverse lavender species bloom at varying times of the year. While some species herald the start of summer with early blooms in June, others continue to flourish and bloom right up until August!

Ensure to equip yourself with sunscreen, comfortable shoes, and a hat. Umbrellas are welcome in case of potential rain or shade, and don’t forget to bring your camera or phone to capture your experience. Personal folding chairs or picnic blankets are permitted for use in the field. However, remember to set up in shaded areas or along the field’s perimeter.
Despite the hilly, bumpy terrain making the farm inaccessible to wheelchair users and walkers, the farm store remains wheelchair-accessible.

Tickets can be purchased online or at the door. However, online booking is preferred, especially for weekend visits.
Please note that, as a pesticide-, herbicide-, smoke-, and alcohol-free farm, pets aren’t allowed, except for service dogs.
