Kelso Lavender Farm grows five distinct types distinct types of lavender spread over rolling hills, including four English variants – folgate, royal velvet, super blue, melissa – and one French variant – phenomenal. Each variant showcases a unique purple hue, making the farm a picturesque paradise perfect for photography enthusiasts and nature lovers alike.

Lose yourselves amidst the swaths of vibrant lavender fields and enjoy picnics at the designated spots. There are opportunities for professional photography too.
Regrettably, picking lavender is prohibited to protect the plant’s health, but fresh bundles harvested every morning are available for sale.
When to go and how to plan:
The farm is open until early August (August 6th in 2023), with the lavender bloom peaking during July. The diverse lavender species bloom at varying times. While some species herald the start of summer with early blooms in June, others continue to flourish and bloom right up until August!

Ensure to equip yourself with sunscreen, comfortable shoes, and a hat. Umbrellas are welcomed for potential rain or shade, and don’t forget your camera or phone to capture your experience. Personal folding chairs or picnic blankets are permitted for field enjoyment. However, remember to set up in shaded areas or along the field’s perimeter.
Despite hilly and bumpy terrain making the farm inaccessible to wheelchairs and walking-aids, the farm store remains wheelchair accessible.
Tickets can be purchased online or at the door. However, online booking is preferred, especially for weekend visits.
Weekday admission ranges from $12-$14, and weekend admission ranges from $15-$16, with child admission at $8.
Please note, as a pesticide, herbicide, smoke, and alcohol-free farm, pets aren’t allowed, barring service dogs.
