With playoff energy building, a long-running joke among Winnipeg Jets fans is turning into something tangible.
KFC Canada has teamed up with Jets left winger Kyle Connor, leaning into a nickname fans have used for years. What started as a tongue-in-cheek chant has now turned into an official meal.
The “Kyle F#*@in’ Connor Meal” brings together a lineup built for game night. It includes the chain’s Famous Chicken Sandwich, two wings, fries and a drink, all packaged in a custom box. The meal is available for a limited time at locations across Canada, through the KFC app and on Skip, where a buy one get one free offer is also running.
Lauren Pottie, senior manager of media and partnerships, said the earlier “White Out” buckets gained attention beyond Canada, driven largely by fan enthusiasm. This time, the idea was to go further by tying the brand directly to Connor himself.
Connor, for his part, said seeing fans embrace the earlier campaign made expanding the partnership an easy decision.
The promotion arrives alongside another option aimed at group viewing nights. Starting March 30, KFC is offering a $30 “Faceoff Feast” that includes six pieces of Original Recipe chicken, six tenders, a large popcorn chicken, large fries and three dips.
