One may choose between the 43-passenger Lake Cruisers or the 65 passenger Alberta Explorer; both boats are glass-enclosed.

Four types of cruises are offered:

Classic Cruise: The signature experience on Lake Minnewanka, nestled within Canada’s oldest National Park. As you sail, enjoy enlightening interpretive commentary that brings the rich history and natural beauty of Banff to life, providing a fresh perspective on this beloved landscape.

Beer Voyage: Set sail on the Beer Voyage, a unique 1.5-hour cruise designed for those who appreciate craft beer and scenic vistas. Journey across Lake Minnewanka with a selection of local craft beers in hand. This adults-only adventure combines the thrill of lake exploration with the pleasure of tasting fine beers, complemented by themed commentary. Each guest leaves with a special souvenir, making this the perfect après adventure for adults seeking a blend of relaxation and exploration.

Premium Cruise: This extended 1.5-hour excursion offers more time to enjoy the serene waters and stunning mountain views of the Rockies’ largest lake. Featuring VIP services, this cruise includes a special stop at Devil’s Gap and an exclusive tasting of local pine tea.

Junior Explorer Cruise: Designed for young adventurers and their families, the Junior Explorer Cruise offers a dynamic and interactive experience on Lake Minnewanka. This one-hour cruise caters to children under 12, featuring a treasure hunt, engaging games, and a journal book to document their journey. A cool treat awaits the kids at the docks, and the cruise offers a special promotion where one child (aged 6-15) sails free with each full-paying adult, making it an ideal family adventure.

To reach the lake from Banff town,

Head north on Banff Ave and then continue onto Lake Minnewanka Scenic Drive to reach the Lake.

From Calgary,

Take the exit toward Banff/Minnewanka Loop from Highway 1. Keep right at the fork, follow signs for Cascade Pond/Two Jack Lake/Lake Minnewanka and merge onto Lake Minnewanka Scenic Drive to reach the Lake.

The Minnewanka Route 6 – Roam Transit will take you from downtown Banff to Lake Minnewanka.

Fully wheelchair accessible with access ramps leading down to the dock. Minnewanka II can take wheelchairs on board.

Hop on Roam Transit’s Route 6 service and show your cruise ticket to the bus driver to get a FREE RIDE. Board a bus from downtown Banff no later than an hour prior to your cruise time to ensure you arrive on time.
