The highly anticipated Lethbridge International Airshow is set to make a triumphant return this year on July 29th and 30th at the Lethbridge Airport.
The event promises to be a family-friendly extravaganza filled with captivating aerial performances, food truck delights, market and trade show, monster truck rides, kids zone, beer gardens, and much more.
Aviation enthusiasts will be in for a treat as the airshow will showcase a range of aerial performances by skilled pilots and unique aircraft. Among the highlights are the de Havilland Vampire, the world’s first single-engine jet fighter, and Jerry Conley, a seasoned pilot with 42 years of experience. Mike Tryggvason, a Canadian competition aerobatic and airshow pilot, will also demonstrate his expertise during the event.

Spectators can look forward to heart-pounding displays by the Third-Strike Wingwalking team, the Northern Stars precision formation flight team, and the adrenaline-filled aerobatics of the Pitts S-2. Moreover, Manfred Radius, a renowned sailplane pilot, will take to the skies with his awe-inspiring glider.
In addition to the thrilling aerial displays, the airshow offers a variety of ground attractions.
The airshow also aims to honour and promote the rich aviation history in the region. Visitors can explore static displays of various aircraft, including C-90 King Air, Beach 18, Harvard T6, 1948 Cessna 170, 1969 Cherokee 140B, JSX003 Mini Jet, Cessna 421, and 2 Kitfox-7 civilian “home-built” aircraft. Additionally, helicopters like Bell 206, Bell 412, STARS Air Ambulance, Airbus H145, USAF Malmstrom UH-1 Huey, and Time Air Historical Society aircraft will be on display.
Kids will be delighted with KidLand, featuring bouncy castles, train rides, games, and more.
Foodies will be spoilt for choice, with 13 delicious food vendors offering everything from ice cream to tacos and pizza.
For those seeking a rush of adrenaline on the ground, monster truck rides and the “Precision Extreme Drive” supercar experience will be available.
To ensure everyone’s safety and enjoyment, the organizers have arranged ample parking at the venue. General parking opens at 8 am and handicapped parking at 9 am. Shuttle services will be available for easy access to the event.
