Canadian Forces Snowbirds and CF-18 Demo Team are set to grace the skies again at the Red Deer Regional Airport, promising a thrilling and action-packed event for aviation enthusiasts and families alike.

The Airshow, scheduled for July 29th and 30th, guarantees a day filled with breathtaking aerial performances, aviation displays, and various entertaining activities.
Attendees can look forward to witnessing the awe-inspiring skills of the Canadian Forces Snowbirds, the impressive RCAF CF-18 Hornet Tactical Demonstration, the daring Canadian Forces SkyHawks Parachute Demonstration Team, as well as Historic Warbird Flypasts and Pylon Air Racing Demonstrations, among others.
Beyond the captivating flying displays, the Aviation Festival offers an array of ground-based attractions. Unique Aircraft Displays will be on show, allowing enthusiasts to get up close to these magnificent machines.
Additionally, there will be a static aircraft display showcasing Props & Pistons, alongside a Car Show & Shine, appealing to both aircraft and automobile enthusiasts.
Families can engage in STEM Education Activities, ensuring a fun and educational experience for young and old alike.
Furthermore, there will be an abundance of family-friendly entertainment with vendors, food trucks, and more, ensuring that everyone’s tastes and preferences are catered to.
The event is set to have a limited capacity due to road access, and therefore, admission is exclusively available in advance and by the carload (up to 7 people per vehicle). To secure attendance, advance admission is mandatory, and separate tickets are required for each day of the event.
In light of ongoing summer construction on Airport Drive, traffic delays are anticipated. Therefore, attendees are advised to allocate sufficient time for travel to the Airshow. The organizers will provide updated traffic and arrival instructions via email to all ticket holders 24 hours prior to the showtime.
It’s important to note that while ground displays, activities, and Aircrew meet & greets will proceed regardless of weather conditions, all aircraft operations are subject to weather and other factors, which means they may be subject to change without prior notice.
The event schedule is as follows:
- Gates open at 10 AM
- Festival activities will run from 10 AM to 5 PM, featuring various attractions and entertainment.
- The spectacular Flying Displays will take place from 1 PM to 4 PM, showcasing a lineup of impressive aerial performances.
- Gates close at 5 PM, marking the end of the day’s festivities.
Tickets for the General Admission Passes are available for both July 29th and 30th, priced at CA$70.56 per carload of up to 7 guests. Each guest must have a seatbelt in the vehicle, and all guests must arrive in a single vehicle. It’s important to note that the Airshow is not a drive-in format; all guests must enter the Airshow grounds after parking, and viewing the show from the parking lot is not permitted. Oversized vehicles such as buses and trailers are also not allowed.
