Limited-Time One Piece Miniso Pop-Up Arrives in Mississauga

Anime fans in Mississauga will have a new reason to visit Square One Shopping Centre this month, as MINISO Canada opens a limited-time ONE PIECE pop-up in Centre Court.

The ONE PIECE | MINISO Pop-Up will run from August 8 to September 13, featuring exclusive merchandise, collectibles, themed displays and photo opportunities inspired by Monkey D. Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates.

Opening day on August 8 will include cosplayer appearances and a themed ONE PIECE photo booth from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The launch will also feature what organizers describe as fan-focused shopping experiences.

Rosie Dela Rosa, Marketing Manager at Square One Shopping Centre, said the response to last year’s MINISO pop-up helped pave the way for another themed activation.

“Following the incredible response to last year’s MINISO pop-up, we’re thrilled to bring the One Piece MINISO pop-up to Square One,” Dela Rosa said.

The event arrives as ONE PIECE continues to hold a major place in manga and anime culture. Created by Eiichiro Oda, the series follows Luffy and the Straw Hats as they search for the legendary “One Piece” treasure.

The manga has been serialized in Weekly Shōnen Jump since July 1997. As of March 2026, its chapters had been collected into 114 volumes, with more than 600 million copies in circulation worldwide.

The franchise has also set publishing records, including Guinness World Records in 2015 and 2022 for the most copies published for the same comic book series by a single author.
