The 91-room City Express by Marriott Port Hope sits near Highway 401, giving travellers access to major destinations including Toronto, Kingston, Ottawa, Prince Edward County, the Kawarthas and the Niagara Region.
The location is designed to serve people stopping during longer trips through Ontario, along with business and leisure visitors staying in the Port Hope area.
Guests receive complimentary breakfast and high-speed Wi-Fi, while the property also includes fitness facilities. Around-the-clock amenities include a self-service coffee station and The Market Place, which sells snacks, drinks and everyday essentials.
“Bringing City Express by Marriott to Canada is an exciting step forward as we continue to expand the brand’s footprint,” said Paul Cahill, chief operations officer for Canada at Marriott International.
Cahill said the hotel focuses on “comfort, convenience, exceptional value” and the hospitality associated with Marriott.
Beyond its location along the highway, the hotel places visitors close to Port Hope’s historic downtown, preserved architecture and Lake Ontario waterfront. Local attractions include the Capitol Theatre, boutique shops, unique seasonal events like Float Your Fanny Down the Ganny and Salmon Run, and the Ganaraska River.
Cobourg Beach and the countryside of Northumberland County are just a short trip from the hotel.
City Express by Marriott is part of Marriott Bonvoy’s international portfolio of 30 hotel brands.
