McDavid’s: Here is Where You Can Find McDonald’s Restaurant Honouring Oilers’ Captain in Edmonton

McDonald’s Canada has temporarily renamed one of its Edmonton locations to “McDavid’s” in honor of Connor McDavid’s overtime goal that secured Canada’s 3-2 victory over the United States in the 2025 4 Nations final.

The name change fulfills a commitment made by McDonald’s Canada during the 2024 hockey playoffs, promising to rename a restaurant if McDavid played a crucial role in a championship win.

As part of the tribute, the “Big Mac-David” burger, a variation of the Double Big Mac with four beef patties and traditional Big Mac toppings,  will remain available for an extended period.

The temporary sign went up Friday afternoon at the Calgary Trail location (10375 51 Ave NW).

Guests visiting McDavid’s location will be able to get a small order of World Famous Fries for just $0.97, available until Sunday, March 2 (limit of five orders per customer).

“Hockey brings the Edmonton community together like nothing else. We saw it last year during the playoffs, and we’re seeing it again today. As a Canadian hockey fan myself, I was so excited to be able to make good on our deal and bring this to life to celebrate with my community,”  said Chat Sangha, Edmonton McDonald’s Canada Franchisee owner in a news release.

McDavid, who grew up in Newmarket, also has a McDonald’s restaurant in his honour in that town.
