The move expands the company’s menu to provide more non-meat choices for Canadian customers.
The sandwich was designed for the Canadian market and adds to a lineup of recent offerings aimed at accommodating changing preferences.
What’s in the McVeggie
- Breaded vegetable patty containing carrots, peas, zucchini, green beans, soybeans, broccoli, and corn
-
Served with shredded lettuce and a mayo-style sauce on a sesame bun
- Also available as the Spicy Habanero McVeggie, which substitutes the sauce for a creamy habanero version
Other Menu Options Arriving September 16
In addition to the McVeggie, McDonald’s will expand other choices on the same day:
- Grilled Cheese Happy Meal®
- Lettuce and Tomato Snack Wrap Happy Meal
- Oat beverage available in select McCafé beverages as a dairy-free option
The McVeggie will be available both as a standalone sandwich and as part of an Extra Value Meal. It can be paired with fries made from Canadian-grown potatoes.
Starting September 16, the McVeggie can be enjoyed on its own or paired with McDonald’s World Famous Fries, made exclusively from Canadian-grown potatoes.
