The city is celebrating the Morden Corn & Apple Festival from August 28 to 30, 2026
First held in 1967 to mark Canada’s Centennial, the festival has grown steadily over the decades and now attracts more than 80,000 people each year. The festival showcases a range of entertainment, food, and family-oriented programming spread throughout downtown Morden.
Canadian rock band The Tea Party will headline the festival on Saturday, August 29. The weekend program also includes Christian music, comedy, dance, theatre, workshops, a parade, bus tours, a car show and several activities for children
What to See and Do
The program is filled with activities for all ages. The Farmer’s Market will operate daily, offering local produce and handmade goods, while the Wonder Shows Midway will provide rides and games from noon until late each evening. For younger audiences, there are face painting stations, kids’ arts and crafts activities, and a petting zoo, while adults can enjoy the Heritage Farms Craft Beer Corner and the Beer Gardens, both operating daily into the night.
One of the main attractions of the festival is the parade taking place on Saturday, August 29 at 10:00 a.m. as Manitoba’s longest parade, it will feature floats from community groups, marching bands, cultural organizations, and local businesses. Thousands of spectators line Stephen Street to watch the event, which has become a hallmark of the festival since its early years.
On Friday, August 28, visitors can attend the Men’s Prayer Breakfast at 7:00 a.m. followed by an inspiring message from guest speaker Dan Macaulay at Rock’s Bar & Grill. The entertainment later in the day includes performances by Quonset Brothers, Weeks Revival, and NewSong at the Access Main Stage.
The Access Main Stage will host the opening ceremonies at 6 p.m. on Friday, with Morden Mayor Nancy Penner, provincial dignitaries, festival sponsors, and members of the festival board expected to attend.

Saturday, August 29, offers a full day of programming that extends into the night with the Morden Bombers Social, the and concerts including s and on the Access Main Stage. Saturday also features the parade, the YFC Pancake Breakfast, and bus tours. Daytime visitors can also take part in St. John’s Parish Outdoor Bingo, or join line dancing at the Cottonwood Stage.

Saturday will also include two performances of the original mini-musical “Sherlock Cornes: Speckled Ambrosia” at the Kenmor Theatre. The production, created by the DanceWork Triple Threat crew, will include 28 local performers.
The festival closes on Sunday, August 30, with a Community Worship Service, a Car Show & Shine, Morden’s Got Talent, and concerts by An Unexpected End, Ukie Fusion, Mosaic, Southern Belle & the Boys, and Dan Macaulay. Pyrographic work of Snow Lake artist Lars Stoltz titled “Larsanity” will be exhibited at the Pembina Hills Arts Council from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The final day also hosts the concluding draw for the 50/50 raffle.
