The city is celebrating the Morden Corn & Apple Festival from August 22 to 24, 2025.
First held in 1967 to mark Canada’s Centennial, the festival has grown steadily over the decades and now attracts more than 80,000 people each year. The festival showcases a range of entertainment, food, and family-oriented programming spread throughout downtown Morden.
What is New
This year’s festival will feature a new glamping option through partnership with ZZZ Pods in the overflow camping area. The service offers ready-to-use accommodations near Stephen Street. The addition is designed to give out-of-town visitors more comfortable overnight accommodation close to the main festival grounds.
The festival has also expanded its culinary offerings with an extensive food truck lineup featuring over 25 vendors. New arrivals include K.A. Guaio Inihaw, Miss Tiny’s Jamaican Kitchen, Lobster Bae, and Chat Masala, alongside established names such as Euro Donair and Poutine King. Dessert and beverage options have also been broadened, with Beaver Tails, My Boba Lab, and The Churro Stop among those confirmed.
What to See and Do
The program is filled with activities for all ages. The Farmer’s Market will operate daily, offering local produce and handmade goods, while the Wonder Shows Midway will provide rides and games from noon until late each evening. For younger audiences, there are face painting stations, kids’ arts and crafts activities, and a petting zoo, while adults can enjoy the Heritage Farms Craft Beer Corner and the Beer Gardens, both operating daily into the night.
One of the main attractions of the festival is the parade taking place on Saturday, August 23 at 10:00 a.m. as Manitoba’s longest parade, it will feature floats from community groups, marching bands, cultural organizations, and local businesses. Thousands of spectators line Stephen Street to watch the event, which has become a hallmark of the festival since its early years.

On Friday, August 22, visitors can attend the Men’s Prayer Breakfast at 7:00 a.m., while entertainment later in the day includes performances by Brothers Keep, comedian Matt Falk, and a headline show from Chad Brownlee at the Access Main Stage.

Saturday, August 23, offers a full day of programming that extends into the night with the Morden Bombers Social, the Paint Night workshop with Lena Terzi, and concerts including the Monochromatics and Big Shiny 90’s on the Access Main Stage. Daytime visitors can also take part in St. John’s Parish Outdoor Bingo, join line dancing at the Cottonwood Stage, or explore interactive art such as Plain Air Painting.
The festival closes on Sunday, August 24, with a Community Worship Service, a Car Show & Shine, and performances by groups such as Ukie Fusion, Love & the Outcome, and the Lumber River Quartet. The final day also hosts the concluding draw for the 50/50 raffle.
