Bose Corporation is recalling 35,399 battery packs sold in Canada after identifying a potential fire and burn hazard involving batteries used in its portable speaker systems.
The recall affects lithium-ion rechargeable battery packs designed for the Bose S1 Pro and S1 Pro+ Portable Bluetooth Speaker Systems.

According to a Health Canada notice published November 5, , continued use of the affected batteries as they age can expose their lithium-ion cells to potentially damaging operating conditions, creating a risk of fire or burns.
As of October 5, Bose had received seven reports of incidents worldwide, but no reported injuries. There were no reported incidents or injuries in Canada.
Which Bose Battery Packs Are Recalled?
The affected S1 Pro System Battery Packs were sold between April 2020 and May 2024, while the S1 Pro+ System Battery Packs were sold from June 2025 to July 2026.
You can identify a recalled battery pack by checking whether its serial number begins with one of these seven six-digit combinations:

The products were manufactured in China by TWS Technology (Guangzhou) Ltd. In addition to the 35,399 units sold in Canada, another 634,759 were sold in the United States.
What Should You Do If You Have One?
Health Canada advises consumers to immediately remove the affected battery packs from affected speaker systems and stop using them. You should contact Bose Corporation to arrange for a replacement battery pack.

The recall is being conducted jointly by Health Canada, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and Bose Corporation.
Under Canadian law, recalled products cannot be resold, redistributed or given away.
