The MB Country Music awards are on Sunday, Nov 10, not Friday
Hi: in response to the person wanting sports events listed I would beg you to put them in a sport section so the rest of us can notwaste time going thru the sports i fo we are not i terestedin. I thought your list was great! Thanks
You really should remove the Honey Dill Expo from this weekend’s list of things to do.
This was an April Fool’s joke. Seeing it on the list only makes me wish it was real.
This weekend is on point for arts, theatre, music, and nightlife in Winnipeg. Probably one of the best weekends I’ve seen for great events in a while!
Although, my disappointment is that there are about 2-3 sporting events on this list with very little detail. 1. Being Valour FC which is a big deal since it’s the inaugural season for the club and league, and 2. Being the WPS Half Marathon on Sunday.
I will note that there are a few events geared towards outdoor adventure, wilderness, and nature, although those events are tailored for a small niche special interest population.
For example, last weekend the event ” Fight for Charity 2019″ in support of Big Brothers Big Sisters Winnipeg was a big event at the RBC convention centre and it didn’t make it on this list. The event was attended by over 1000 people and a formal gala style evening celebrating 22 amateur boxers for their first fight in support of charity. What gives?
This “to do winnipeg” list makes our city look inept when it comes to sports, athletics, and fitness.
My kind request would be to include further athletic events in this calendar (with more of a sales pitch explanation) as the list favours about 95% loaded towards the arts. Once again, I love the arts, but sports are my passion.
Thank You,
What a great website!! Adding to Favorites list for sure!
