You will have to pay more to watch Avengers: Infinity War on Christmas Day as Netflix Canada has increased subscription rates.
The basic plan that allows only one stream and no high-definition video increases by one dollar to $9.99 a month.
Netflix’s standard plan that allows users to watch content on two screens at a time will cost $3 more — $13.99 a month.
The Premium plan subscribers will have to shell out 16.99 a month, for wanting to watch ultra high definition video and on up to four simultaneous screens.

While the existing users will be notified by email, the higher prices are effective immediately for new subscribers.
The increase comes as the company faces intense competition among the biggest streaming video services. Netflix says the increase will help fund upcoming TV series and films as well as overall improvements to the Netflix platform.
