New Weekend Go Train Service Between Brampton and Toronto to Begin April 8th; New Weekday Services on Kitchener Line

Attention all weekend warriors and commuters! Metrolinx has some good news for you.

Starting April 8th, there will be a new two-way weekend GO train service between Brampton and Toronto on the Kitchener line.

Plus, there will be a new weekend GO bus service connecting Waterloo, Kitchener, and Guelph.

 

The new service will run hourly in both directions between Mount Pleasant GO and Union Station, with the first train leaving Mount Pleasant GO at 7:49 a.m. and the last one departing at 10:49 p.m. For those heading westbound, the first trip from Union Station will leave at 8:51 a.m. and the last one at 11:51 p.m.

Go Bus routes 30 and 33 will connect with GO Trains at Mount Pleasant and Bramalea GO Stations starting April 8.

The new rail service will replace the existing weekend GO Bus service on route 31 but won’t service the Etobicoke North GO station.

Metrolinx is also adding weekday service on the Kitchener line, with an additional express trip departing Kitchener GO at 8:08 a.m. and arriving at Union Station at 9:43 a.m.

There will also be a new trip departing Bramalea GO at 9:22 a.m. and making all stops to Union Station, arriving at 9:58 a.m. And for those heading out of the city in the afternoon, the 4:34 p.m. departure from Union Station will extend all the way to Georgetown GO, arriving at 5:35 p.m.
