Calgary’s TELUS Spark is gearing up for an exciting day filled with innovation and learning, offering free admission to all attendees.

The free event, presented in partnership with Amazon Canada, runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday, November 10, and features workshops, live demonstrations, and interactive exhibits.
Programming includes the Your Voice is Power series, created in collaboration with TakingITGlobal, which combines coding, music, and social justice. The sessions encourage participants to explore technology and creativity through workshops in art, writing, and music. Activities include remixing songs from Indigenous artists using the EarSketch platform, coding-based storytelling, and art projects inspired by song lyrics.
Live science demonstrations will take place from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., along with robotics showcases throughout the day. Visitors can observe an Amazon Hercules Robot, which moves loads of up to 1,000 pounds in Amazon’s fulfillment centres, and interact with local engineers and builders.
The event also features Kilobots combat robotics and a FIRST Robotics scrimmage, where students aged 12 to 18 will operate robots they designed and programmed. These demonstrations aim to promote teamwork and innovation among young participants.
